yes oo, Lol. I go by the name Da Emperor, indigenous rapper and actor. 6ft tall, cute and charming as you can see.
When and how did you start music?
Music for me started in my early years in the choir, I used to be the choir master at a very tender age, but then officially at 2008/2009 with my very first singles in 2010 titled “Am ah rapper” and “Facebook Prediction ft Don d king”
What influence your lyrics or what inspires you to write?
(grins) Basically for me, my lyrics are being inspired by Life general happenings and motivations.
Now that you are fast becoming popular, how have you been coping with the female fans?
Errrmmm, female fans, female fans… I Love them all, because they are fantastic beings, got them all around the world, last year or so a white female fan wrote boldly on her bear breast ” I LOVE DA EMPEROR ” amongst many other sign of love I get globally. I must say am very grateful to all my female fans and all fans worldwide.

What do you dislike about the Nigerian music industry?
My dislikes? Hahaha, no be everything eye see mouth dey talk, I just feel we need more love from and to ourselves.
Have you ever stepped out of your comfort zone and discovered a whole new genre of art? How did it turn out?
Yea, that’s what I call versatility. It turned out creatively well. Trust me any act who is not versatile can not last the test of time.
What are you currently working on?
Dropped my musical video this year, titled “PARA MODE” still getting love from fans, the video was premiered at the silverbird cinema. Ikeja. Lagos, also am currently working on A HIT BANGER with the musical talibán Oritse Femi titled #FIREWOOD but due to some technicalities the job has not been released as promised but it would definitely drop soon.
Which Nigerian artiste would you love to collaborate with at the moment?
2baba (Male), Asa (female)… We good to go.
Your advice for budding artistes.
keep your head up, steady your hustle and never give up… The end is always sweeter and memorable than the beginning. And do GOOD MUSIC.
What’s your take on many new music that lacks messages that now filled the airwaves?
Na their own talent be that (Hahaha), time would tell and judge them soon, they should enjoy while it last (smiles).
How far are you planning to take your career?
Wow, I like this… Well, as far as no living being can ever imagine #Global domination and declaration of yoruba indigenous rap.
Who are the artistes or producers you are looking forward to work with?
So many artistes, likes of Vector, M.I, Brymo, Daddy showkey, Lil Wayne, Drake, Pharell Williams, Beyoncé and so on and for producers… Dr Dre, tyroon, xblaze, Don jazzy, Young D so much more, so far he/she is talented.
What’s the most memorable thing a female fan once did to you?
ha! So many memorable things o… Errrmmm but the most memorable of them all should be kept private (hahahha), make una no vex.
What difference are you out to make in the music industry?
My aim and objective is to take indigenous rap to a whole new level globally, what I call global domination I.e promoting our culture, country and language as a whole.
What’s your selling point?
My selling point is my persona…. Trust me you’ll wanna take a time out with the boy (winks).
Are your songs also the regular “commercial” music we are presently experiencing from many young Nigerian acts?
Oti o, maka why? Lol… Indigenous rap (hardcore), Real Good music with messages that’s what am born to do.
